MCC awards Festivals & Projects grants to 10 local organizations
$25,000 in total funding will bolster local arts and culture experiences
(BOSTON—3/13/2025) Senate Assistant Majority Leader Joan B. Lovely (D-Salem) is pleased to announce that several cultural organizations in the Second Essex District have been awarded $2,500 FY25 Festivals & Projects grants from the Mass Cultural Council. The grants support public activities that incorporate the arts, humanities, and sciences.
“I am thrilled to see so many outstanding local organizations receive support for their cultural programming from the Mass Cultural Council,” said Senator Lovely. “Festivals and creative projects bring our communities together, celebrate our diverse backgrounds and cultures, and strengthen economies across the Second Essex District by bringing in visitors from all over the North Shore and the Commonwealth as a whole.”

- Beverly Local Food Collaborative—Beverly Farmers’ Market Free Music & Performance Series
- Beverly Main Streets—Arts Fest Beverly
- Punctuate4 Productions—Thru Hike
Peabody:
- Amazigh American Network Organization—North African Amazigh New Year Festival
Salem:
- Paul Madore Chorale—SummerSing 2024
- North Shore Community Development Coalition—Fiesta en la Calle
- Salem Arts Association—Artoberfest Arts Festival
- Salem Human Rights Coalition—Black History Month Festival
- Salem Jazz and Soul Festival—Salem Jazz and Soul Festival
- Salem Main Streets—Salem Arts Festival
FY25 Festivals & Projects grants were awarded to 740 cultural projects and festivals across Massachusetts, receiving a total of $1.85 million in funding.
